2011 ANNUAL VAHAGN SETIAN BAKER TO VEGAS MEMORIAL RUN/WALK

2011 ANNUAL VAHAGN SETIAN BAKER TO VEGAS

MEMORIAL RUN/WALK

BEVERLY HILLS
DECEMBER 3, 2011

Dear friends of the Vahagn Setian Charitable Foundation,

It is always gratifying when a project — especially a new project — “all comes together.” But no project can “all come together” unless dedicated, motivated people bring it all together.

That’s exactly what happened on Saturday, December 3rd. Once again the VSCF experienced everything that’s wonderful about Beverly Hills, when many volunteers from Beverly Hills Police Department and private citizens helped us “bring together” the inaugural Vahagn Setian & BHPD Baker To Vegas Team Annual Memorial 5-K Run/Walk.

Thanks to the good will and hard work of many individuals, the run was a success. The event could not have come together without the hard work of the members of The Baker To Vegas Team itself. They gave countless hours to make sure we had a well-organized and outstanding event. Among the attendees were Beverly Hills Mayor Barry Brucker, Council members Lili Bosse, Dr. Julian Gold and John Mirisch; Chief of Police David Snowden with most of the department; a large group of firefighters and personnel from BH Fire Department, who also provided an impressive running team; public officials; sponsors; teachers and students from BH High School and Middle Schools, runners; event staff; residents and friends. And of course our beloved, long time friends of Vahagn, former Beverly High students that are part of our extended family.

Special thanks go to the Beverly Hills business community members of which kindly and generously agreed to sponsor the event. We salute Wells Fargo Bank; The Peninsula Hotel; Tom Ford International, M. Kantor and the Lili & Jon Bosse Family for their generous backing. Live music was provided by local jazz quartet The Usual Suspects. “Bake You Happy” donated the cupcakes and the bottled water for the runners was donated by Brooklyn Water Bagel Co.

Thanks to the enthusiastic support of all these public-spirited individuals and organizations, our Foundation can continue helping youth build healthy & productive lives – one choice at a time. By raising awareness of the dangers of impaired and destructive driving, providing scholarships and serving our community in ways consistent with the values that Vahagn himself embodied.

Once again, to all of you who made this event come together, our heartfelt gratitude.
