BEVERLY HILLS POLICE DEPARTMENT

BAKER TO VEGAS

2011

Many thanks to the friends of The Vahagn Setian Charitable Foundation for their support of the Beverly Hills Police Department Relay Team, who so kindly ran in the name of our Foundation – and of Vahagn himself – in this year’s grueling Baker-to-Vegas road race. We are humbled by the BHPD’s warmhearted gesture, and by your thoughtfulness and generosity.

The Annual Baker-to-Vegas Relay covers some 120 miles of rough terrain. This year’s challenge began at Baker, CA on April 16, and ended in the early morning of April 17 at the Las Vegas Hilton. Despite the 96F+ temperature during the day and 45F during the night, and despite fierce competition from 268 elite teams representing law enforcement agencies (police and sheriff’s departments, Secret Service, FBI, DEA and others), our BHPD team finished THIRD in their category!

Your thoughtfulness and generosity will help us continue our mission of impressing upon teenagers the potentially lethal consequences of drinking alcohol, and the importance of making mature choices.

We hope that the bond between the Foundation and the BHPD Relay Team – and our bond with our supporters – will continue for many years to come.

Once again, many thanks to you, and to the growing “family” of like-minded contributors without whom the Foundation’s humanitarian goals would be unattainable.

The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) and is also classified as a public charity 509(a)(1), which makes the contributions tax-deductible. The Foundation’s Federal Tax ID is # 20-8057062.
